A criminal conviction for almost ANY family offense can render a non-citizen deportable.
Family Court Admissions & Findings
- Even when there is no criminal conviction, an admission to conduct in Article 10 or family court proceedings can have negative consequences, including:
- Bar to citizenship,
- Bar to lawful permanent residence (otherwise referred to as an LPR card),
- Bar to most forms of relief from deportation,
- Denial of admission to the United States after travel abroad.
